Watch me grow!

Relic Lore's Growth Guide
NEWBORN A pair of bright blue eyes rest behind black-rimmed lids; a soft pelt of puppy brown covers every inch of his body; a shiny nose wiggles to take in the curious scents of the world; rounded triangular ears lay folded against his skull; sharp black claws adorn each tip of his small toes... Hidden away from the rest of the world, Fenru Tainn sleeps soundly in the warmth and darkness of his mother's den.
2 WEEKS Although the world is still a bunch of blurry shapes, Fenru Tainn has come a long way in two weeks. His cobalt eyes blink constantly as he tries to keep up with his brother and sister. He'll master his sense of balance and an uneven toddle in turn after his siblings perfect their new motor skills. Until then, however, he crawls cautiously behind them. While he is quiet most of the time, he does emit a small variety of newly acquired sounds (aside from squeaks and whimpers): little rumbling growls, low yelps, and shrill howl-like notes. When he opens his tiny mouth, one can see the small rows of teeth are just starting to emerge.
3 WEEKS Watch out world, here comes Fenru! ...actually, maybe not. Or, rather, not yet. Even though his ears are not fully upright, Indru and Corinna's last-born has just about caught up to his siblings. He now moves in a cautious fashion: sitting first before laying down or standing up, and raising a gray-beige paw inquisitively before moving. His bright blue eyes have started to focus; his mousy brown coat, while still soft and downy, is starting to become courser. His black-tipped tail is often wagging if it isn't curled around his legs while he sleeps.
6 WEEKS A spitting image of both of his parents, Fenru is growing more and more every day. His once mousy brown coat has started to pick up some of the hues in his father's and mother's coats: grays, rusts, and silvers. Pointed ears adorn his head, standing tall atop his skull. While still significantly smaller than his brother and sister, even with disproportionate head and paws, he displays all the signs of a healthy pup.
3 MONTHS Hints of gold and bronze now glitter in Fenru's eyes, though bits of blue still circle his pupils. While brown is still the dominant color in his coat, grays and creams continue to dapple his figure as the rusts he once flaunted dull with every passing week. Large ears and forepaws guide his actions as an equally large nose often gets him into curiosity's grasp. It would seem he has almost caught up with his brother and sister in size, though time will only tell just how long that will last.
4 MONTHS After quite a growth spurt, Fenru's defining characteristics have finally manifested - a pair of golden-orange eyes, rust-covered ears and muzzle, and a mottled coat of stark black, gray and ecru. A pair of over-sized tawny paws rarely lead him from the boundaries his mother has set as a black-and-auburn tail often hangs still behind his hind limbs. A washed out mask of gray and tan adorn his eyes and thin black whiskers twitch slightly whenever he scents the air.
6 MONTHS With Winter on its way, Fen has grown into quite a handsome little thing. His fiery orange eyes blaze with a passion for learning, and muscles have built up around his willowy frame under a mottled pelt of stark black, gray and tan. He has started to grow into his large auburn ears and tan-dusted paws; and, his leathery black nose, mask-like facial patterns, and coarse black whiskers are only a few of the becoming features he now possesses.
7 MONTHS With his winter coat fully acquired - full of saturated rusts, tans, and creams dappled with gray and black blotches - Fenru has grown into quite a 'looker.' A dark mask now adorns his face and accents his auburn eyes. A black-tipped tail commonly gives away his mood as his stark black nose never fails in correctly identifying scent trails. Though his lean, wiry build is still apparent underneath the bulk of his pelt, his large paws and ears still hint of a few growth spurts to come.
